WOOD is a UK-headquartered experiential design studio. Over thirty years in, and having built expo stands, chandeliers and immersive spaces across the globe, they needed a website that could finally showcase their incredible output.

Starting from an in-depth interview at kick-off, understanding what this all means to the founder was key. One thing that stood out was her understanding of space — how people move through it and emotionally connect with it. This led to the “SPACE, CHOREOGRAPHED” line as the teaser on the homepage, deliberately cropped at the fold to arouse curiosity – like seeing a door slightly ajar and being invited to open it.

Breaking from convention, the layout is built on a Van de Graaf grid – a special construction that grants far greater freedom in utilising space creatively. It suits WOOD's own way of working: bold, considered, never boxed in.

We refined the brand typeface, turning to the craft of Klim Type Foundry – using Untitled Sans and Untitled Serif across the site.
