“Girls are Watching” flag

The ornamental flag is commissioned for the group exhibition Women and Type by Museum Wiesbaden as part of the World Design Capital 2026 program, under the theme Design for Democracy. The flag is exhibited both in the museum and along Wilhelmstraße boulevard, together with flag designs from seventeen women designers during Summer 2026.

The typefaces used for the artwork are CoFo Sans by Maria Doreuli and Cofo Sans Arabic by Khajag Apelian, Lana Abou Soufeh, and Wael Morcos. With thanks to Institut Designlabor Gutenberg, Prof. Dr. Petra Eisele and Prof. Dr. Isabel Naegele, and to Nadine Chahine (Arabic), Shabnam Faraee (Farsi), and Sasha Ravskaya  (Ukrainian) for linguistic advice. Print production by Fahnen Kössinger.
