Granado Desde 1870 is an animated institutional film celebrating 156 years of Granado, founded in 1870 in Rio de Janeiro as an apothecary of botanical formulas and today one of Brazil’s best-known heritage brands, recently repositioned as a premium perfumery. The visuals draw on the brand’s own archive: historical photographs and original packaging, reinterpreted through layered compositions and animated frame by frame.

Amid the layered collage, the typography gives each scene a clear point of focus. Title cards for names, places and dates are set in Transat, in all caps with a gold gradient, often framed by a thin gold capsule. The Art Deco roots of Transat’s capitals give the titles a period feel that sits naturally with the archive material, while the geometric construction keeps them clean and contemporary. The name is a fitting nod too: “Transat” comes from the Compagnie Générale Transatlantique, an apt reference for a brand whose story now reaches across the Atlantic.
