This Nivea advert for the Indonesian market is from around 1994, shortly after the brand introduced two new custom typefaces. The all-caps Nivea wordmark was originally designed in the 1930s, inspired by Metroblack. In 1992, Gisela Will at EF Fontinform expanded the five letters into a full alphabet named Nivea Bold, under the direction of Günther Heinrich of TWBA. It is complemented by Nivea Creme. You can read more about this corporate type project in Branding with Type from 1995.
