“Giorni d’Estate” (in English: Summer Days) is the theme of the 2026 edition of Estate Fiorentina, the City of Florence’s summer cultural program. The visual identity was designed by Giovanna Cianciarulo, a Graphic Design Master student at IED Florence. Developed with the support of AI-based creative tools and later expanded into a series of animated applications by the Florence-based agency Flod.

The city itself never appears directly. Instead, Florence is suggested through an almost imperceptible presence: its silhouette stretches across the landscape like a gentle shadow; the kind of shade sought and appreciated during the summer months, offering relief without diminishing the light.

A key element of the identity is Crescendo by Zetafonts. Its geometric construction, generous proportions, and open letterforms establish a deliberate dialogue with the artwork. The expansive counters and airy structure of Crescendo visually echo the idea of an open field, helping to create a sense of freedom and accessibility throughout the campaign. In the campaign, Crescendo is paired with an unwarped style of Tilt Warp from Andy Clymer, used for the URL.
