For Germany's “Tag der Briefmarke” (Stamp Day), Hagen Verleger designed a postage stamp on behalf of the Deutsche Post and the Federal Ministry of Finance. The stamp shows the Alexandria “Blue Boy”, a rare mid-19th-century issue and an icon of philately. For the typography, Verleger sought a “narrow sans-serif typeface with a tall x-height to ensure good readability” (translated from German), and he found it in Ottessa by Philipp Neumeyer.
