Originally published in Mercurius magazine (2024), this piece contextualizes how I approached my gender identity during the formative years of my childhood.

Brackets were used to produce a cocoon-like structure with letters containing the word “male” and an inner core encasing the text “fe-” representing my spirit.

Altogether, to embody the word “female."
