The promotion for The Negotiator from 1998 prominently features Template Gothic throughout the design. On the poster, the typeface is used not only for the film’s title but also for the lead actors’ names (Samuel L. Jackson and Kevin Spacey) at the top and even the release date text in the billing block at the bottom. The raw, slightly distorted character of Template Gothic amplifies the tense, high-stakes tone of the thriller while standing out against the stark red-and-black color scheme.

Credits are rendered in Univers Ultra Condensed, with names stretched to about double the width.

The actors’ names here are set in caps from Neue Helvetica Condensed, probably the 107 Condensed Extra Black style.
