For this series of poetry books, I developed a typographic system based on Tor grotesk. Edited by Karol Poręba, Wygłosy (“Voices”) comprises works by contemporary female and male writers not previously translated into Polish or underrepresented in the local poetry scene. The series is reaching for less known and unobvious works, often extremely important for the literature of the languages they were created, trying to draw a map of “other traditions” of world poetry. The publisher Ossolineum was established in 1827 in Lviv (today Ukraine) and is Poland’s oldest continuously operating publishing platform.
