Vico Magistretti and Japan was presented at the Fondazione Vico Magistretti. The exhibition examines how a persistent interest in Japanese culture emerges throughout the work of the Milanese architect and designer, who developed projects with Japanese clients and designers, as well as with Italian companies operating in Japan. Archival materials (drawings, photographs, models, objects, videos) are presented alongside 1:6 miniature versions of Magistretti’s furniture, produced within ECAL’s Bachelor Industrial Design programme, and representations of his Japanese architectural projects by Dogma.
