Visual identity for Umami, a fermentation festival held in April 2026 at L'Agronaute, an associative venue in Nantes. The event brings together producers and chefs around fermented products such as craft beer, wine, bread, cheese, as well as miso and kimchi. Designed to be inclusive and welcoming, the festival appeals to both families and fermentation enthusiasts through workshops, tastings, and a large communal banquet.

To reflect this spirit, I used ABC Maxi Round variable, whose rounded, geometric letterforms inspired an illustration style that could be translated into simple, playful representations of the foods featured at the event. The dot of the lowercase i cleverly echoes the shape of bubbles, creating a subtle visual reference to the fermentation process.
