Wellington-based photographer Steven Boniface (Boniface) is renowned for his mix of portraiture and commercial projects. Boniface came to me in need of a new identity and website that expresses his character while also emphasising his photography.

My solution centres around an extended typeface that captures an analogue materiality evident in Boniface’s work. Delivered via a deep ultramarine blue, the bold typography acts as the primary interface for the website allowing the photography to just speak for itself.
