Irregular magazine, issue 49

Irregular is a German skateboard magazine, based in Munich, Germany. The quarterly features professional skateboarders, trips and events with a lot of texts by Nico Uhler and photographs by Fabian Reichenbach.

Art director Stefan Gottwald chose a combination of typeface families Spitzkant and Ardena by Julien Fincker for this year’s issues. The typefaces are combined in very different and playful ways for headlines and body text. Each article gets its own look and feel, in a very modern and high-class way.

Issue 49 is a very special edition. It became a best-of coffee table book with the best photographs of the last 13 years on 324 pages. See also the posts about issues 43, 44, 45 and 46.
