Sağol – Teşekkürler – Mersi (“You're welcome – Thank you – Thanks”) is Seda Türk’s master's thesis, published as an A5 book printed on natural and bright red paper. It follows the French words that entered Turkish after the 1923 alphabet reform, when the new Republic replaced Arabic script with the Latin alphabet: şezlong, abajur, asansör, kuaför, otel and hundreds more. A second part, özür dilerim – affedersiniz – pardon, shows these words at work on everyday objects and signs.
The whole book is set in a single typeface, BS Resort Classic by Arthur Schwarz.
