This monograph retraces the remarkable and prolific career of French designer Pauline Deltour (1983–2021), showcasing the richness of her work through images drawn from an extensive archive, alongside contributions from exhibition curators, designers, and close collaborators.
In just ten years, Pauline Deltour established herself as one of the most influential designers of her generation. Published on the occasion of the exhibition of the same name at the MADD Bordeaux, this book brings together essays by the exhibition curators, Anna Bernagozzi, Jonathan Olivares, and Cloé Pitiot. It reveals not only Deltour’s distinctive personality and working method, but also the often unseen reality of the designer’s profession, where every project is the result of a long process shaped by a wide range of considerations.
The graphic design of this publication was entrusted to Lisa Sturacci. She combined two typefaces: on the one hand, Milling (Tanguy Vanlaeys, 205TF) —including its Milling TP style, featured on the cover and endpapers, with a particularly elegant use of the thin punctuation stylistic set; and on the other, Cedrat, designed by Emmanuel Besse and distibuted by Formagari.
