The Occult: A History by English writer Colin Wilson was first published in 1971 by Random House. The cover of the 1973 paperback edition by Vintage Books features a psychedelic firebird of sorts, paired with Arnold Böcklin.

Matthijs Herzberg recently released a new digital interpretation of this often-ridiculed Art Nouveau face. His Arny comes with redrawn shapes, a range of seven weights, various extras, and a sans-serif companion.
