L’Œil is a bimonthly critical journal published by L’œil cacodylate, an independent bookshop based in Lyon, France. The first issue was released in July 2026. The journal brings together literary and art criticism, social science essays, columns, portraits, carte blanche contributions, interviews, opinion pieces, thematic features, recipes, literary texts, and original works by artists.
The graphic design was entrusted to studio Bureau 205, which used the typefaces Gando and Muoto Mono by Matthieu Cortat and Pinokio by Tanguy Vanlaeys – all available from 205TF.
