This catalog for a George Condo exhibition housed in a former slaughterhouse on the island of Hydra, features a 32-page leporello and 116-page Swiss-bound book inside a custom six-panel folder. It was edited by KMEC Books and published by Deste Foundation.
Due to the characteristic thin frames around the paintings in the exhibition, and the perfect square forms of the painted works, a leporello format was required to show the paintings full bleed and uncropped by the binding. The paintings appear on one side of the leporello and the sculptures on the other side.
The book contains the installation views, essays, and a unique illustrated text by the artist, styled like a children's book and typeset in DTL Dorian. The titling for the book is set in Agipo Bold Condensed, lending to the themes of anxiety, bifurcation, and madness. Agipo Regular is additionally used in a supporting role.
