Chloé “Dnakramas” Samarkand is a tattoo artist and illustrator from Strasbourg, France, showcasing her captivating art that delves into the realms of dark fantasy and cosmic horror. She is inspired by the fascinating universes of H.R. Giger, Żdzisław Beksiński, Kentaro Miura, Olivier Ledroit, and Antoine Bernhart.

The layout of the portfolio is inspired by editorial designs. Medieval (Sinistre by Jules Durand for headlines and display text) and grotesque (Akzidenz-Grotesk by Berthold for captions and body text) fonts are combined to connect the artist’s dark fantasy world with elegance and contemporary style. The website uses black and white only to emphasize the illustrations and tattoo photographs. Press Shift+G to display the grid on the website.

The initial design was done in Figma. The website was built with Next.js, Framer Motion, and GSAP for animations, with content provided by Storyblok CMS.
