In April 2026, Barcelona-based designer Tania Marcial presented her collection xxx at the 37th edition of 080 Barcelona Fashion. The collection draws from Marcial’s own experience of working as a pizza delivery rider while studying fashion, transforming the visual codes, working conditions and everyday language of delivery work into a personal fashion narrative.
Rooted in Barcelona’s underground and peripheral culture, Delivery approaches the subject with a raw, direct and playful tone. Drawing from the contrasting realities of riders and those waiting at home, the collection explores the precariousness and freedom associated with delivery work through a cast of characters, everyday situations and highly textured, recycled and manipulated materials.
Typography and lettering play a central role throughout the collection, appearing as large-scale graphic elements and textile prints. The typographic language combines custom brush lettering with customised versions of GS Maquis and officially unrealeased GS Soroll and GS Merca and Bounce from GS-Type. Together, these elements introduce different textures and levels of expression, moving between the immediacy of hand-drawn gestures and more constructed display forms. The resulting contrast sets the organic, unpredictable character of the brush lettering against the more mechanical and recognisable visual language associated with motorcycles, delivery graphics and urban signage.
Words associated with the physical and emotional reality of delivery work —such as mojao (wet), cancelao (cancelled), express and bochorno (muggy)— are treated as graphic material rather than simply as text. Applied across garments and integrated into abstract compositions, the lettering and typefaces contribute to the collection’s maximalist visual language, extending its narrative of the street, urgency, weather and working-class experience.
