BASELITZ JETZT at the Museum der Moderne Salzburg brings together large-scale paintings from the final decade of Georg Baselitz’s career, addressing ageing, vulnerability and mortality. Conceived together with the artist, the exhibition opened only a few weeks before Baselitz died in April 2026 at the age of 88.

The exhibition identity combines Delphia and Bull-5 (Proportional) in a clear and strong typographic system. Large-scale type gives the communication an immediate presence, while subtle shifts in placement, scale and the use of italics introduce a second, more expressive layer. Rather than competing with the monumental paintings, the typography remains direct and restrained, with Delphia and Bull-5 providing contrasting but closely related voices.
