Lady Soul is the twelfth studio album by American singer Aretha Franklin released by Atlantic Records in early 1968. For his cover design, Loring Eutemey worked with a photograph by Vincent Nanfra and what looks like Schmalfette Grotesk. Since Eutemey was a regular customer of Photo-Lettering, the specific version probably is their Swiss Gothic which, unlike Walter Haettenschweiler’s original, had a full character set including a lowercase and punctuation – with round dots, as in the colon.
