Year 2000 is a song released by Xzibit in, well, 2000. It was a harbinger for the upcoming Restless album. “Year 2000” features Xzibit laying down his rhymes over a Mel-Man beat.
Interesting to mention is that the album includes a remix with Korn vocalist Jonathan Davis supplying some screamed background vocals (although not a fan if I’m honest). The mentioned remix was featured on the Black and White drama film soundtrack.

Xzibit’s logo uses a stretched and modified Crud with tight kerning. The song title and most text on the back cover are set in Compacta.

Side note: I can’t necessarily say the included remix featuring Jonathan Davis comes even close to a hybrid of rock and rap if that ever was the intention. The remix/song is rather stunning with its sparse production—I much prefer Xzibit to command his presence In the song.
