


The Contact Books were a short post-WW2 series of factual books that looked a variety of topics this edition, from late 1947, was on ‘holiday activities and mood’. The volumes were issued at about four-monthly intervals and, as well as adverts, contain many illustrations and photographs often by well-known artists and designers. This dustwrapper or book jacket is by Edward Bawden and shows a variety of pleasurable activities around town.
