The Night of Kadar is a science fiction novel by British writer Garry Kilworth (b. 1941), first published in 1978 by Faber & Faber. Shown in this post is Avon’s paperback edition from 1980, with cover art by Paul Alexander, and cover typography featuring Earth.

This futuristic display face of unclear origin is here used with its alternate minuscule A and with the T that has a single-sided roof to the left of the stem, see “THE” and “KILWORTH”. In “NIGHT”, it was extended to the right, but not to all the way to full width. Furthermore, the stencil bridge in H was filled in, and the second A in “KADAR” trimmed. The latter was probably done to show the title as big as possible.
