The Territorial Governor’s Mansion was built in Sept. 1864, almost 48 years before Arizona achieved statehood on February 14, 1912. John Goodwin, first territorial governor, had his office in the north wing. Restoration by Charlotte Hall, poet and historian. The building is now part of the Sharlot Hall Museum.

The brush script used on the postcard is Wave, designed by Robert Hunter Middleton in 1962. Ludlow type was a frequent choice for postcards and other ephemera like tickets.
