
“Which sounds better?” The Technics SL-2000 is a series of direct-drive turntables for the consumer market. It was produced from 1976 to 1978.


This series of adverts was issued in 1977 by Matsushita Electric / Panasonic, promoting consumer-oriented audio equipment made under their Technics brand. They pair two typefaces with flared stem endings, Albertus and Optima. Technics ads used this combination already in 1976.

The Technics RS-615US and RS-630TUS are tape decks produced in 1977 and 1978.

The Technics SL-1950 is an entry-level turntable with automatic changing function.
