Strictly Instrumental – Drifting Blues album art

Musically, Drifting Blues (2026 production) explores the blues as a flexible instrumental language, moving between traditional blues vocabulary, jazz-influenced harmony, minor-key moods and contemporary electric guitar music with exclusively original compositions.
Visually, the cover follows a similarly reductive approach. Its rough monochrome illustration recalls Andy Warhol’s artwork for Blue Note Records. The typography adds a further historical layer, evoking the direct, vernacular character of Chess Records and mid-century American blues releases with Spiced Cheese and Hellenic Wide. Together, music and artwork create a contemporary production that consciously draws on the visual and musical heritage of classic blues and jazz.
Hellenic Wide is a wide slab serif released in the mid 20th century by Bauer. It was digitally interpreted by Jason Walcott. Designed by Jakob Fischer, Spiced Cheese is a grafitti and comic inspired brush display font.

The track names are set in a slab serif similar to Memphis.
