Sense of Safety exhibition catalog

Sense of Safety / Відчуття безпеки is a publication documenting the exhibition of the same name at the Yermilov Centre. It chronicles a project staged in one of the city’s safest public spaces, which occasionally served as a bomb shelter. Bringing together more than 30 Ukrainian and international artists, the exhibition uses installations, participatory performances, and video works to evoke rituals of everyday communal life, reimagine shared spaces, and foster communication, creating a sense of stability and safety.

Edited by Tatiana Kochubinska, Maryna Konieva, and Antonina Stebur, Sense of Safety gathers contributions by Oksana Barshynova, Boris Buden, Borys Filonenko, Alona Karavai, Maryna Konieva, Bojana Piškur, Lena Prents & Nataliia Ivanova, Tetyana Pylypchuk, Maxim Rosenfeld, Oleksandr Sorokin, Antonina Stebur, Asia Tsisar, and Serhiy Zhadan.

It was designed by Aliona Solomadina using KTF Compact (Kyiv Type Foundry), Noto Sans, and Noto Serif (Monotype).
