Paris-based costume designer Alya Derris brings couture-trained craftsmanship and a distinctly authored visual language to fashion, music, and advertising—from houses including Chanel, Sonia Rykiel, and Agnès B. to large-scale performances for a new generation of artists.

On her website, Alya Derris pairs Solare Italic (Nikolas Type) with Lalezar (Borna Izadpanah) and Right Serif Mono (Pangram Pangram). Solare Italic provides the project’s central typographic character: fluid, expressive, and distinctly human. The accompanying typefaces Lalezar and Editorial Old establish contrast, function and hierarchy.
