Gill Sans Shadow No. 1 was issued by Monotype as series 406 in 1936. Photo-Lettering had an adaptation named Gill Sans Shadow No. 406. On the cover of Sunrise, Sunset, a 1975 album by Roger Williams (1924–2011), it is set reversed, with a gradient fill. The track names are in ITC Avant Garde Gothic. The easy listening album was released on Pickwick Records. No cover designer or photographer is mentioned.
