Framework 105 is the latest edition of Parsons School of Design's annual publication documenting the work, people, and activities of the Communication Design programs during the 2025–2026 academic year. Spanning more than 400 pages, the volume brings together student projects, typefaces, faculty profiles, program information, courses, events, and departmental archives from the AAS, BFA, and MPS Communication Design programs.
The design and content of the book was heavily informed by items found in the The New School Archives and Special Collections—specifically, the school's former student newspaper, ParsonsPaper, which ran from the 1960s through the 1990s and was packed with interesting insights. Two tiers of nested side-margin footnotes, both set in ABC Diatype run throughout the book to provide context and commentary from the archives and contemporary culture. The main body copy is set in ABC Arizona Mix.
The opening page to each section is treated like a mini-poster—each uses a different pair of two display typefaces, and features a thematic illustration relating to the subject matter of the section. Typefaces used include Marvin Visions, Goofy (modified), BN Dime Display and BN Dixon, Clarendon (modified), Documan and Sud.
The back section of the book—not pictured here—is designed by by 908A (E Roon Kang and Andrew LeClair) and continues the use of Diatype.
