Open House İstanbul is a public, non-profit architecture festival that opens the city’s doors for a weekend each year. Buildings and private spaces, often closed to the public, become places to enter, experience, and question. The system is anchored by a custom logo drawn from İstanbul’s architecture and skyline. Design studio Sömestr paired arcs and serif forms with Crit Mono, blending structural heritage with a modern, architectural edge.

Crit Mono serves as the project's workhorse type, used extensively throughout as a nod to the popularity of monospaced type among architects. A tool for neutral, technical writing. Set against İstanbul's buildings, strong colors, and heritage, it creates a contemporary look built on contrast.
