Monte Casa

Monte Casa is a collective art project that explores the idea of “home” as a physical, mental and symbolic space, shaped by distance and nostalgia.

It originates from four artists coming from the same small mountain village in the Orobie. Their shared background becomes the starting point for reflecting on the lasting connection with their place of origin.

The project is rooted in Monte San Leonardo, a mountain deeply tied to the artists’ upbringing and family histories. Its path becomes both a physical and conceptual framework, symbolizing a return to a place that is no longer lived in, but still present.

The project culminated in a site-specific exhibition along the trail between San Bernardo and Colle Passeraia.
