Promotional campaign and design for a concert event presented by Other Minds in San Francisco, featuring acclaimed pianist Adam Tendler, who used an inheritance to commission 16 composers, including Laurie Anderson and Pamela Z, to write scores for him.

The design is based on Riso printing, featuring collage techniques and editorial typography. Both the program and poster are shown.

Neue Haas Grotesk was used throughout, with a dictionary entry and some elements in Plantin, which has a stroke to give it a printed look. The page numerals have an acute slant.

Designed by Dom Cooper and printed by Autumn Press.

Founded in San Francisco in 1992, Other Minds is a leading organization for new and experimental music in all its forms, devoted to championing the most original, eccentric, and underrepresented creative voices in contemporary music. From festival concerts, film screenings, radio broadcasts, and the commissioning of new works, to producing and releasing CDs, preserving thousands of interviews and concerts, and distributing them free on the Internet, Other Minds has become one of the world’s major conservators of new music’s ecology.
