Sarı Çizmeli Mehmet Ağa (English: “Mehmet Ağa in Yellow Boots”) is an album by Barış Manço (1943–1999) based on his song of the same name. It is one of my favorite albums up to date, combining electronic instruments with Turkish folk instruments. The front cover features Arnold Böcklin, a decorative serif typeface named after the Swiss artist of the same name. The album also includes “Acuhta Bağa Vir” (“Give a little bit to me as well”), “Ham Meyveyi Kopardılar Dalından” (“They picked an unripe fruit)”, and also an English-language song named “Nick the Chopper”.

According to Discogs, a version of this compilation album was released already in 1980, by Türküola, with a different cover. The cover with Arnold Böcklin was used by Yavuz Asöcal’s 2000 release. The version shown here is the one released by EMRE in 2016.
