The Landesmuseum Württemberg (“Württemberg State Museum”) in the Altes Schloss Stuttgart invites visitors to discover cultural history from new perspectives. Mehr als eine Realität – Queere Perspektiven in der Schausammlung (“More Than One Reality – Queer Perspectives in the Permanent Exhibition“) makes queer stories visible and opens up new angles on familiar historical objects and narratives (curated by Ida Liliom, Alisha Soraya and Melissa Schlecht).

The graphic and exhibition design was created by Matter Of and typeset in HAL Timezone, published by HAL Typefaces.

From an Instagram post by Matter Of:

Who do museums remember, and who do they leave out? This intervention opens up new perspectives on history, culture and lived realities.

Created in collaboration with artists from Stuttgart’s independent scene and the queer community, the intervention brings queer, intersectional and contradictory perspectives into the museum’s historic collection. The aim is to make visitors question how history is told and who gets to tell it.
