Ivan Davydov’s book Люди и города. Путеводитель по русскому Средневековью (“People and Cities: A Guide to the Russian Middle Ages”), published by Individuum, is a guide to the forgotten pre-Petrine Rus’, an invitation into the rich world of Old Russian literature, and a reflection on how to remain human in inhumane times.

The typography on the book cover designed by Maxim Balabin features the typeface Zhivov by CSTM Fonts.
