Resolutely multidisciplinary, La Bâtie-Festival de Genève brings together music, dance, theater, circus, and performance to offer a rich and demanding, accessible yet complex panorama of the contemporary arts scene. Since its founding half a century ago, the Festival has demonstrated its ability to evolve, constantly renewing its mission, aesthetic direction, partners, and audiences. Each edition takes place across more than twenty venues in the Geneva metropolitan area, neighboring France, and the canton of Vaud: theaters, concert halls, and clubs, as well as museums, parks, and other public spaces, make up the Festival’s landscape.
