In the public works system, refuse is collected in two separate, yet equally important streams: the garbage, which sends household trash to the landfill, and the yard waste, which composts leaf litter and natural organic material.

These are their brown bags.

(This specimen was found in Albany, New York. One wonders how an Iowa City yard waste bag got there.)
