Hiperfòssils: L’estranya materialitat dels mitjans digitals (“Hyperfossils: the strange materiality of digital media”) is formalized through a publication that collects the research, reflections and examples found throughout an archaeological research, tracing a temporal journey from the past towards a speculative future and with the materiality of technological media and their life expectancy (in relation to their persistence as a residue once they have crossed the threshold of obsolescence) as the object of research.
Taking as a reference the methodology of Aby Warburg's Mnemosyne Atlas, the narrative line is articulated through definitions, own text and graphics (images, diagrams and own graphic work), from which it is possible to articulate the concept of hyperfossil.
Designed by Anna Maria Salinas as her Bachelor project in Research Design at EINA, Barcelona, using DGM Saffron with DGM Saffron Mono.
