This recording of Dvořák’s Symphony No. 8 was performed by the Hamburg Philharmonic Orchestra under conductor Charles Mackerras and released by Nonesuch Records (H 71262) in 1971.

Cover design by Jo Ann Gruber with art by Bill Hoffman and art direction from Robert L. Heimall. The typography features a rare sighting of Photo-Lettering’s Ringling Brothers with lowercase.
