Visual identity commissioned by Kantonsrat Zürich for this year’s Lange Nacht der Zürcher Museen designed by Meret Mächler.

The Rechberggarten, one of the most beautiful baroque gardens in Switzerland, has been transformed into an oasis in the middle of the nightly hustle and bustle. Live music and a special lighting concept created a magical and enchanted atmosphere.

The design combines baroque elements such as symmetry, dynamics and ornamentation with the lush green, blooming and enchanted nature of an oasis and brings them together into a calm and balanced whole using Helvetica Now Display (by Monotype) and the seriffed and ligature-heavy Romie (by Margot Lévêque).
