Hanyi Fonts designed the custom typeface HY Tencent Peacekeeper Elite (汉仪腾讯和平精英体) for the updated branding of Game for Peace, Tencent's popular mobile game. This new typeface accompanies a refreshed logo and UI, contributing to a modernized brand identity.
The Game for Peace font family, comprising three weights (with the Bold weight featured here), was created to align with the game’s military theme and technological elements. The typeface aims to enhance the immersive gaming experience while delivering a visually impactful presentation:
• Strong strokes: The font’s strokes are robust and powerful, reflecting the game’s military adventure theme.
• Logo integration: The design incorporates elements from the Game for Peace logo, including its distinctive lightning bolt motif, creating visual consistency and added interest.
• Upright posture: The slightly condensed letterforms and higher center of gravity give the font a more upright and contemporary feel.
• Dynamic slant: Some horizontal strokes are angled to convey a sense of speed and dynamism, reflecting the fast-paced nature of the game.
• Consistent Western design: The Latin character set mirrors the style of the Chinese characters, maintaining a cohesive visual language.
