Dimensions no. 18, “Quantum is everywhere”

Issue no. 18 of Dimensions, the magazine of EPFL (École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne), features a series of ten editorial illustrations by Fichtre exploring the theme of quantum physics. Created for the magazine’s Focus section, the illustrations accompany articles covering qubits, quantum computing, quantum research in Switzerland and the relationship between quantum mechanics and relativity.

The edition was designed by Marc Börtschen and Emphase, with ES Klarheit Plakat used for the section’s headlines and Suisse Works for the body copy. The timeline is set in Emphase’s own Diglû. The illustrations are printed in fluorescent red and light steel blue, two colours that run throughout the edition.
