


This final degree project was made at EASD Antonio Faílde. It involved, on one hand, the editorial design of a book titled Casa Prat Puig (“Prat Puig House”) and subtitled Restauración de un fresco colonial (“Restoration of a colonial fresco”), based on a Bachelor’s thesis originally titled Estudio y propuesta de intervención de una pintura mural (“Study and proposal for intervention of a mural painting”). On the other hand, it encompassed the branding and visual identity design for its fictional publishing house, Edichium. Additionally, the project addressed the promotional-audiovisual sphere, tailored for social media by applying contemporary formats (short vertical video).
It explores—fictionally—the possibility of boosting Cuban intellectual sovereignty through
the dissemination of academic editorial content from abroad, bypassing the ideological, political, and economic limitations of the Republic of Cuba. To this end, the company is located in the Swiss city of Zurich and forms part of RedECI (Network of Independent Cuban Publishers) as the coordinating hub of the editorial initiative.
