Des Signes were commissioned by the Élysée together with the Musée national de l'histoire de l’immigration to design a commemorative plaque and a visual identity to mark all Algerian-French memorial sites.

The design studio explains:

We created a geometric and abstract monogram, resulting from the typographic interweaving of the a (algeria) and the f (france), but also revealing the d (dialogue), the P (« Partage » sharing ), the H (History).

At once a sign of identity, a nameplate and a digital relay, this ceramic and metal object highlights the issues and history of Algeria/France, while honoring the memories.

Made in collaboration with Grégory Rosenblat of porcelain workshop Ateliers Arquié and Boscher Signalétique. BallPill by Benoît Bodhuin is used for the typography of the monogram and the wordmark.
