Davida has already been featured in my contributions thrice in connection with personalities born on 29th January – twice for Valérie Čižmárová (for her Supraphon ‎singles and the “Za sluncem, za vodou” sleeve) and once for Salena Jones (for the album cover of Zlatniyat Orfey). This can now be done in the case of another celebrity who shares that birthday, the DJ Tony Blackburn, who is turning eighty on this day.

This two-page spread (pp. 30/31), entitled “The business of being Blackburn” appeared in the Daily Mirror Book for Girls 1972, published by the Hamlyn Publishing Group Limited in 1971 and printed by Litografia A. Romero S.A., Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Canary Islands, with photographs by Sue Denym. Davida is set in pink on a purple background, which seems typical of its age. The body text in sky blue is set in Univers.
