In 2022 as an act of support for the people of Ukraine Graphis launched the Designers for Peace: United With Ukraine poster competition where international designers submitted their posters. All of collected proceeds benefiting humanitarian aid for the people of Ukraine.
It’s been a pleasure to participate and receive a Honorable Mention for ...Our Daily Bread...Revisited.
• Everything is wrong – upside-down – so the revisited poster is upside-down, too!
• Stains are black, not red, because black is the death not only for those who fight to free Ukraine, but also for poorest nations who already suffer from food shortage.
• Black is the darkness that falls on humanity.
• Black “stains” are from the original photo that was used for the 1991 posters! Pure golden wheat is tarnished!
The font used for poster is Antarctica from Newglyph.
