A double-page ad from 1985 for the Ford Tempo, “the forward thinking car.”

At last, a family car with the true instincts of a driver’s car.

The compact sedan model was introduced in 1984 as a replacement for the Ford Fairmont. The display typeface is a version of Goudy Extrabold, tightly spaced and with round dots instead of the original diamond-shaped ones. The copy is set in two weights of ITC Garamond.
